About the Vortex brand
The Vortex manufacturer began in 2004 in Wisconsin as a next development step of a family veteran-owned business of selling weapons and optics founded by Dan and Margie Hamilton back in 1986. In 1989, the company incorporated as Sheltered Wings, Inc., while Vortex Optics turned to a DBA brand of the new company.
Currently, Vortex Optics is a family of brands and a huge corporation with hundreds of employees and dealers all over the U.S. Also, since 2022 Vortex is an official supplier and contractor to the American Military.
